Structural Steel Forges Ahead as the High School Takes Shape

Earthwork, concrete, masonry, underground utilities, steel, site retaining walls, waterproofing, spray fireproofing, and cold-formed metal framing is ongoing. 

  • Currently prepping first-floor concrete floor deck at the South end of the building. Preparing the West end of the first floor for concrete foundations.

  • Steel erections are moving along the Southwest end of the building.

  • Site retaining walls at the South end of the property are ongoing and are approximately five feet away from grade level.

  • Plumbing/electrical rough-ins are pushing forward, following our concrete foundations and metal deck installations.

  • Waterproofing follows the ongoing installation of the masonry and concrete walls.

  • Portions of the steel within the building are currently being sprayed and fireproofed.

  • Installation of ductwork continues above the ceilings of the new school.

  • Cold-formed metal framing materials are getting delivered to the jobsite. The interior building layout and wall construction continues.

  • Roofing preparation begins while the curbs are being built, along with the concrete slab pours, which help support and stabilize the mechanical units.
